Radhika Malhotra is an award-winning film writer, director and actress based in the United States, India and Costa Rica. Her upcoming work includes a Hollywood feature film and her directorial debut with ‘Wild’, a short film about the transfer of wealth.
Radhika’s Screenwriting and Work in Films
Radhika began her film career as a scholar with the WABJ in Washington D.C. as a journalist and reporter for the Washington post and Fox 5.
She then acted in her first film, Raghavan (2009), and went on to star in the Telegu film Manmadha Rajyam (2011) and in web shows Strugglers (2016) and Screwed (2018), as well as the acclaimed short film A little ways down the road (2014).
She has worked on the writing teams and written Big Girls Don’t Cry (2022, Amazon Prime), Flip (2020), Uri: The Surgical Strike (2019), which won the National Award in India, and the TV show Detective Didi (2018). She worked as an assistant director on Taish (2020) and the multiple award winning film, Bhonsle (2018), before directing Velvet Pistol (2023).
Her upcoming film, Wild, is a 20-minute film set in a coastal town in Costa Rica. It has been shot by Emmy award-winning cinematographer Lex Jones, its sound is by Oscar award-winner Resul Pookutty.
